College World Series 2025 odds and favorites: Tennessee, Texas A&M are favorites to return to Omaha

Soccer season is coming to an end, the winter air is crisp, and that can only mean one thing: the 2025 college baseball season is just around the corner. Opening Day is set for Friday, February 14.

Odds for the 2025 College World Series indicate that the favorites to repeat as champions are the Tennessee Volunteers. Second odds, according to the odds, have last season's winners, the Texas A&M Aggies.

The five schools with the lowest odds represent the Southeastern Conference, which has dominated the sport in recent years. The SEC boasts five winners and four runners-up in the College World Series, but who else can compete in Omaha this summer?

College World Series 2025 odds for favorites to win the College World Series
College World Series odds for Tennessee: +750
Last season, Tennessee became the first SEC team with 60 wins en route to a national championship. Tony Vitello's team has won 50+ games in three of the last four seasons, so despite losing key players, consistency has become second nature in Knoxville.

Our best sports betting sites expect the Volunteers to return to Omaha next season with prospects Dean Kerley (SS), Andrew Fisher (3B), Gavin Keelen (INF) and Dean Russell (RHP).

Best Odds: +750 on FanDuel | Estimated Odds: 11.76%.

Texas A&M College World Series odds: +1000
Texas A&M is almost the exact opposite of the team that beat them in Omaha last season.

The Aggies return most of their core roster, led by the nation's top prospect Jace LaViolette, but they are facing a head coaching change. Michael Earley steps into that role to lead Texas A&M to a CWS victory for the first time in program history in consecutive seasons.

Best Odds: +1000 on FanDuel | Estimated Odds: 9.09%.

Odds on an LSU team winning the College World Series: +1200

The seven-time college baseball champions return an experienced offensive core in Jared “Bear” Jones (1B) and Stephen “Monster” Milam (2B), but it's the arms that make all the noise. Highly ranked pitchers like Zach Cowan, Anthony Aianson, William Schmidt and Chase Shores will be key if LSU wants to get to Omaha for the 20th time in program history.

Despite failing to repeat their success last year, the Tigers are doing better after a title season than their predecessors who missed the postseason entirely. Many are praising Jay Johnson's charges at the start of the campaign, and it's easy to see why.

Best odds: +1200 on FanDuel | Estimated odds: 7.69%.

College World Series 2025 Odds
Texas College World Series Odds: +2600
Texas finished the season with a disappointing 36-24 mark and ended its campaign in the College Station Regional after being considered a top-15 team on opening day. How did the Longhorns solve that problem? They fired David Pierce after eight years and poached Jim Schlossnagle from championship runner-up Texas A&M.

Schlossnagle is one of the best coaches in the country, but he will have to work with a new squad that has joined the toughest conference in the world. Texas plays most of its toughest opponents (Georgia, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M) at Dish Falk Field, which is a great fit for a regional tournament in the postseason.

Max Bellew (OF) and Jalin Flores (SS) are the stars that will lead the Longhorns to the College World Series for the first time since 2022.

Best odds: +2600 on FanDuel | Estimated odds: 3.70%.

Florida State College World Series Odds: +2800
Great pitchers are the backbone of any successful college baseball program, and the Florida State Seminoles have arguably two of the best pitchers in the entire country. Despite losing some players, Linc Jarrett's charges are expected to be in the tournament thanks to their starters on Friday and Saturday night.

If Jamie Arnold and Cam Leiter stay healthy, the Sevens could capitalize on the success of their superstar staff all the way to Omaha. Florida State was one of the last four teams last season, and no one would be surprised if they find themselves in that spot again this year.

Best Odds: +2800 via Caesars | Estimated Odds: 3.45%.

How to bet on the College World Series
Betting on College World Series odds is pretty straightforward. First, choose a reputable sportsbook that offers CWS futures.

Familiarize yourself with the odds on each team; for example, if they give you +500 on Tennessee winning, a $100 bet on the Volunteers will get you $500 if they are the champion. Place your bet by deciding how much you want to bet. If you bet $100 on the Volunteers at +500 odds and they win, you'll get $600 back ($500 profit + $100 bet).

Watch the teams' performances over the course of the season to see how your bet works out.

It's important to remember that odds change in future markets. It's all about results and perception. If a team starts playing better or worse than expected, their odds will change.

Injuries to key players can also have a significant impact on a team's chances and therefore its odds. Public betting trends play a role - if a lot of people are betting on one team, a sportsbook may adjust the odds to balance the risk.

Expert analysis and predictions can influence how people bet, which in turn affects the odds.

How to Read College World Series Championship Odds
Reading College World Series championship odds is easy. Odds are usually presented in the format of +500 or -200. Positive odds (e.g. +500) show how much profit you will make on a $100 bet.

For example, a $100 bet with +500 odds will win you $500, plus your original $100 bet, for a total of $600. Negative odds (e.g. -200) show how much you need to bet to win $100. So, a $200 bet at odds of -200 will win you $100, plus your $200 bet, for a total of $300.

These odds also reflect the probability that a team will win the championship. Lower odds (e.g., +300) indicate a higher probability, while higher odds (e.g., +2000) indicate a lower probability.

Sportsbooks adjust these odds based on factors such as team performance, injuries, trades, and betting patterns.

For example, if the odds on Tennessee are +500 and the odds on Texas A&M are +700, the Volunteers are considered more likely to win. If you bet $100 on the Volunteers and they win, you'll get $600 back ($500 profit + $100 bet).
