Boston College vs. Nebraska: predictions and odds: Pinstripe Bowl Odds

The Nebraska Cornhuskers will face off against the Boston College Eagles. Both teams are going through waivers or transfers of many key players.

The Cornhuskers are 4-point favorites to win Saturday's Pinstripe Bowl game at Yankee Stadium (noon ET, ABC).

While the Eagles will be without their primary quarterback Thomas Castellanos, backup Grayson James has been on the field more than once this season. The Cornhuskers, meanwhile, will have Dylan Raiola under center.

Will Raiola's presence be enough to lead the team to victory despite the absence of key defensive players? Our prediction for Boston College vs Nebraska, which is part of our college bowl game predictions, suggests that the former will cover the spread.

Our college bowl game waiver tracker will bring you the latest news on the waiver wire and how it will affect college bowl game odds.

Against the Spread: Boston College +3.5 (-104 on FanDuel) vs Nebraska ⭐⭐⭐⭐.
My top pick: Dylan Raiola Over 198.5 passing yards (-115 at bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Boston College vs Nebraska matchup prediction with odds included
Boston College will play the spread: +3.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best Odds: -104 via FanDuel | Estimated Odds: 50.98%

Many would consider Castellanos' absence to be reason enough to bet against the Eagles. However, Castellanos hasn't played since Nov. 9, allowing James to play three games late in the season.

He finished the season 2-1, gaining over 230 yards in two of the three games, scoring four touchdowns and throwing just one interception.

The Cornhuskers will have a starting quarterback, but his presence was not enough to prevent five of their last six losses. In that time, Raiola has thrown just three touchdowns and thrown seven interceptions.

On Saturday, Raiola should have a good showing against a defense that is allowing 262.5 yards per game. However, the transfer portal has taken a toll on the Cornhuskers.

From a defensive standpoint, 16 players will miss Saturday's game, which will be a major problem against James and the rest of the Eagles offense, which is scoring an average of 26.8 points per game.

Currently, three of the top four sports betting sites offering this spread have it set at four points. FanDuel offers the smallest spread, but the -104 price on an Eagles win is the best. I'll take the best price because this spread is still on the right side of the key number.

Dylan Raiola Over 198.5 passing yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best Odds: -114 via bet365 | Estimated Odds: 53.27%

Raiola started the season with at least 200 yards passing in four of his first five games. Since then, he has only surpassed the 200-yard mark twice in seven games.

In that time, however, he has played against some of the best defenses in the country, and in three of those seven games he has not topped 190 yards.

While the offense is missing several key players, Raiola still has Jahmal Banks, its leading receiver. Banks finished the year with 508 yards. And while the Eagles have almost their entire defense at full strength, five second-string players will miss this game.

With them already allowing over 260 yards through the air per game, these losses could be all Raiola needs to break the 200-yard mark. Only two of our top soccer betting sites are offering this bet right now, and both have the same total, but bet365 offers the better price.

Odds for the match Boston College - Nebraska:

Boston College: +3.5 (-144)
Nebraska: -3.5 (+118)
