The odds on the Chiefs winning Super Bowl 59 at most of our top sports betting sites are around -120, meaning you need to bet $120 to win $100 if Kansas City wins. On the other hand, the odds for an Eagles win at most betting shops are +110. If you bet $100 on a Philadelphia win at those odds, you will win $110. In addition, you'll get your original $100 back, so your total payout will be $210.
Of course, you don't necessarily have to bet $100 on the Super Bowl. For example, if you bet $10 on the Eagles moneyline at +110 odds, you'll get $11 if they beat the Chiefs. You could even bet $1 and win $1.10 - there's no shame in that!

Spread: Who will cover the Super Bowl line?
At the start of last year's Super Bowl, the 49ers were going in as 2.5-point favorites, but that bet soon changed to +1 on the defending champion Chiefs, who have come out as underdogs in each of the last two Super Bowls.
The odds on Kansas City to win ranged from +1.5 to +2.5 on our top real-time betting sites, meaning they needed to win or lose by 1-2 points to cover the spread. If they lost by exactly two points, all +2.5 tickets would be cashed, but those who bet on +1.5 would lose.
With such a small point spread, many bettors prefer to bet on the moneyline, and last year this strategy would have been profitable. However, it usually doesn't hurt to have an extra point in your pocket if the odds are comparable.
Over/Under: How many points will be scored?
When betting on the total, you want to decide how many points both teams will score - over or under.
Over the years, the Super Bowl has produced virtually identical results for both sides, so there is no “wrong” answer when betting on the Super Bowl. Sometimes the “right” side can depend on when you place your bet, as was the case with Super Bowl 58.
For almost all of the two weeks leading up to the Big Game, the total was 47.5. Then, right before the game started, it closed at 46.5. The final score of 25-22 was exactly 47 points scored, meaning that those who bet the total higher or lower would have gotten different results depending on when they bet.

How to read Super Bowl odds
Reading Super Bowl odds is easy. Odds are usually presented in the format of +500 or -200. Positive odds (e.g. +500) show how much profit you will make on a $100 bet.
For example, a $100 bet with +500 odds will win you $500, plus your original $100 bet, for a total of $600. Negative odds (e.g. -200) show how much you need to bet to win $100. So, a $200 bet at -200 odds will win you $100, plus your $200 bet, for a total of $300.
These odds also reflect the likelihood of a particular Super Bowl outcome. Lower odds (e.g., +300) indicate a higher probability, while higher odds (e.g., +2000) indicate a lower probability. Sportsbooks adjust these odds based on player and team results, news, internal rumors, and betting patterns.
If Christian McCaffrey has +500 odds and George Kittle has +1000 odds on him scoring a touchdown, there is a higher probability that McCaffrey will score. If you bet $100 on a runner and he gets into the end zone, you'll get $600 back ($500 profit + $100 bet).
