The Pro Bowl Skills Showdown consists mostly of soccer related yardage games where the best NFL athletes can showcase their skills on television. The odds at our top NFL betting sites reflect the unpredictable nature of these contests, as the AFC and NFC are considered favorites at -115 odds.
The only competition that has different lines is the relays. Oddsmakers have all the data they need to handicap this competition, so one side has a reasonable advantage. AFC has a -130 advantage over NFC (+100), which gives a 56.52% implied probability of winning this event.
2025 Pro Bowl Skills Showdown contests and betting lines
Passing the test
- AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
- NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
Passing the Test is a daily test of a quarterback's accuracy ... with a twist. Quarterbacks will have 40 seconds to hit targets with varying numbers of points across the field. Before the timer starts, however, players will select a Pro Bowl teammate about whom they will have to answer five trivia questions, and will get an extra 10 seconds for each correct answer.
The winning team - AFC or NFC - is determined by the most points scored by the quarterback.
Satisfying catches
- AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
- NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
Three players from each team (one defensive back, one defensive lineman and one defensive back) will compete in an obstacle course. In this obstacle course, participants will need to catch three passes thrown from pitchers from different distances.
Players will compete back-to-back, and the team with the lowest combined time will be named the winner.
Relay race
- AFC: -130 (56.52% implied probability)
- NFC: +100 (50% implied probability)
We all know how a relay race works, right? The NFL Pro Bowl Games relay consists of four players from each conference. A representative from each team will simultaneously run a 40-yard dash before passing the soccer to the next participant. This process will continue until the last participant crosses the finish line.
The teams will run three rounds, and - it almost goes without saying - the fastest conference wins.
Helmet Harmony
- AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
- NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
Helmet Harmony is an entire event centered around the prelude to passing the test. Not exactly true, but similar. Helmet Harmony is a game show designed to test the player's knowledge of their teammates. The player is awarded one point for each correct answer, and the team with the most points by the time the event is over wins.
Helmet Harmony will be followed by a dodgeball game to conclude Thursday's events. However, it is worth noting that there are no betting odds on the three-round tournament, which features six teams of five players each.
Punt Perfect
- AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
- NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
You think you know what Punt Perfect is? Well, you're wrong - partly. If you said it's a competition in which punters compete against each other in marksmanship, you've gotten the gist, patted yourself on the back or gotten a gold star. But like the other competitions in Pro Bowl Skills Showdown 2025, the NFL has added its own twist.
In Punt Perfect, two players from each conference line up to punt the ball from the 35-yard line. The lineup will include one punter and one non-punter from the AFC and NFC, respectively. Together, they will attempt to hit as many balls as possible into six buckets set up in the end zone.
Each bucket is valued at one point, with the value of every fifth punt being tripled. The two players with the most points are declared winners.
The Great Football Race
- AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
- NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
The Big Soccer Race is a relay race consisting of five trials. The culmination of the event will be the sled push. The team of six players that is the first to cross the finish line wins.
Tug of war
- AFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
- NFC: -115 (53.49% implied probability)
Tug of War is a classic five-on-five contest in which the NFL's biggest players position themselves over a pit of foam. They will attempt to pull the rope halfway to their side and drop their opponents into the aforementioned pit.
This is the only event that is returning under the same name and format as last year's Pro Bowl games. Last year, the NFC won the best-of-three games, earning three points toward its total.
