A Super Bowl without the Chiefs would be like Groundhog Day without Phil Punxsutawney.
Patrick Mahomes will complete his eighth NFL season when Super Bowl 2025 takes place on Sunday, February 9 at Caesars Superdome Arena in New Orleans, and it will be his fifth Super Bowl appearance.
The Chiefs continue to be narrow Super Bowl favorites at -1.5 odds while we make our Chiefs vs. Eagles prediction and pick a team to add to our already growing list of Super Bowl predictions.
Prediction for Chiefs vs Eagles: Jan. 29 game
Here are our NFL Super Bowl predictions with confidence based on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.
Who will win the Super Bowl: Eagles (+110 via Draftkings)
Against the Spread: Eagles +1.5 (-110 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best Pick: Dallas Goedert Over 4.5 receptions (-120 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Who will win the Super Bowl?
Inevitability hovers around the Chiefs. They win when they seem to be outmatched in critical areas. They win repeatedly in tight games. They win under the bright lights of the postseason, and Kansas City is looking to set a record with their 10th straight win in the postseason.
Mostly, they just win.
That's why picking a random midseason game against them feels nauseating, and in the Super Bowl it's downright terrifying. But in a game with the slimmest of margins offered by our top Super Bowl betting sites, the Eagles should be able to separate themselves enough, relying on Saquon Barkley and the ability of their defensive front to put pressure on Mahomes.

The Eagles have a few minor but significant advantages that could end up making the biggest difference.
The Eagles' secondary is a solid swarm that features NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year contender Quinyon Mitchell. He is a staple of the team that completed the fewest passes per game in the regular season at 174.2.
Up front, the Eagles are also getting constant pressure, including eight sacks over the last two games. Against the Chiefs, the pressure was very frequent, as Mahomes was knocked down 70 times throughout the regular season.
On the other side of the ball, little is needed from Jalen Hurts as long as Barkley dominates. But if need be, and if Barkley hesitates for even a moment against a tough defense, Hurts will be able to tear apart Kansas City's 18th-ranked secondary.
He'll be especially successful if Hurts consistently blocks tight end Dallas Goedert while capitalizing on the Chiefs' consistent weakness.
Best bets for Wednesday's Super Bowl
Dallas Goedert Over 4.5 rebounds
Best odds: -120 on FanDuel | Estimated probability: 54.55%
Goedert missed a lot of time in the regular season, playing in just 10 games. But he had no lack of rhythm in the postseason, with Goedert leading all Eagles passers, racking up 188 yards receiving.
The Eagles haven't demanded much from Harts and his passing game: the historically impressive Barkley has carried most of the load. So it makes sense that the tight end is often involved in this game, and Goedert does a lot of his damage after the interception on short and medium runs, working his way forward.
The volume is certainly there as a result. Goedert leads the team in the postseason with 18 targets, and he just finished the game with eight targets, which he turned into seven rebounds.
Combined with a Kansas City defense that still struggles against tight ends, having allowed 106 rebounds in the regular season (second worst) and 1,191 yards (31st), a clear recipe for success emerges.
A $10 bet would yield a profit of $8.33.
Who is favored to win the Super Bowl?
Chiefs (-124 on FanDuel).
The Chiefs remain the favorites on the moneyline, with the best price on them being offered on FanDuel at odds of -124. Beware of BetMGM and DraftKings, where the -130 odds are a few ticks lower.
The odds from FanDuel mean a 55.36% probability, and a $10 win would yield a profit of $8.06.
