$2.2 million. That's how much stolen ATOM tied to Neutron validators managed to intercept with an emergency restart. Those funds are now parked in a validator multisig wallet. But 169,000 ATOM tokens slipped out before the freeze took hold.
You don't pull the plug on an entire blockchain without collateral damage. The chain-wide pause stalled normal transactions, locking out everyday Cosmos Hub users who had nothing to do with the heist.
