Chiefs vs. Eagles prediction, betting odds and odds for Super Bowl today: Attack of the Novelty Markets

If you made your Chiefs vs. Eagles and Super Bowl bets when this matchup was already decided, you're probably just shorting the clock this week, begging for the game to happen.

However, a lot can change between now and Sunday when these teams meet at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans (6:30 PM ET, FOX).

We've already provided an updated recap, and now we're giving you another tasty bet to make on Wednesday with the Big Game just days away.

Top picks for Super Bowl Wednesday
Taylor Swift More than 6.5 times featured during the broadcast
Best odds: -125
Estimated probability: 55.56%

Note: Taylor Swift betting odds are available at FanDuel Canada only.

One of the nice things for first-time bettors during the Super Bowl is that many of our top betting sites offer bonuses on events that are very likely to happen. Sometimes they just offer risk-free returns (you can find bets on Team X gaining 1+ yards during the game, or something similar).

FanDuel doesn't advertise it as such, but it's free money.

I don't know exactly who set this line, but they obviously didn't watch last year's Super Bowl, during which Taylor Swift was featured on the broadcast - from start to finish of the game, FanDuel claims between 11 and 13 times (there's some discrepancy online as to whether some moments were split up or all in one shot).

Even if you agree with the low number, that would skew the stated total. And with our best prices on this game suggesting it will be a tight contest, and Travis Kelce likely to play at least some role in the outcome, I just had to click on this over.

If you want to place a plus bet on Swift, FanDuel offers a market based on whether or not she will be featured during the halftime show. The song “Yes” sells at +140 odds, and last weekend we saw Swift enjoy dancing to Kendrick Lamar's “Not Like Us.”

Prediction for the Chiefs vs. Eagles matchup

Not much has changed since I bet on a Chiefs win last week, but the most important thing is to remember to make this bet against the moneyline bet if you think the Chiefs will win.

The worst case scenario for a Kansas City win at -1 odds is for the Chiefs to win by 1 point. A bit of a waste of time, but no money lost.

Meanwhile, a winning bet of $10 at these odds yields $9.09 in profit. The best moneyline odds bring in slightly less - $8.70. However, if you only have access to bet365, the -120 moneyline odds will cost you 70 cents on every $10 you bet.

Our best Super Bowl betting sites know that most people betting on the outcome of this game are less experienced and therefore will simply bet on whichever team they think will win. So even if they all increase the spread to 1 point, the money line odds will be smaller because that is the market that new bettors will gravitate towards.

Who will win the Super Bowl?
I'm still betting on the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl.

It's not hard: they remain the best team in the NFL when it comes to the playoffs. He may not have MVP-worthy seasons, but Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league. He may never win Coach of the Year, but Andy Reid is still among the most elite head coaches in soccer.

Kansas City is a better team with a better coaching staff, and they've been talking about a three-peat since last year's festivities. It's inevitable.

Who is favored to win the Super Bowl?
Chiefs (-115 via Caesars).
This game is more or less a toss-up, judging by the moneyline odds. Even though the Chiefs are trading as favorites, even the shortest odds of -120 give only a 54.55% implied probability that they will win.

In addition, all but one of our odds moved the Eagles to plus or minus on winning the game.
